March 24, 2011

Try this routine when you wake up to release tension in tight areas including hamstrings, chest, back, and your brain. Have a great day!

  1. Even if I wake up feeling unable to stretch a single muscle, in the end I am fully operational :) It is a great stretching routine that comes naturally in the mornings.

Q: Can I use more time on each stretch or do I need to keep up the tempo?

  2. It’s great but it won’t let me finish it:(

  3. This is such a great video, Tara! It’s my go to one in the mornings :) Thanks

  5. I’d like to be the dude behind her in yoga class.)

  6. @Sn0wFreak Try to watch it part after part. In the beginning I thought “Oh my god, how shal I remember all this”. But finally I managed it – with a little bit patience … Keep trying. It´s worth it! Greetings from Germany! NYCfan

  7. Hi, Tara! Thank you for this wonderful morning workout! I do this every morning (5 am !!!) and I´m feeling amazing!! Hope to see you in your yoga studio in autumn during my trip to New York!

  8. ITS TOO FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the hole point of yoga is to do it with the breath but you cant if your being told to do something else every 4 seconds

  10. Thank you ! and good morning

  11. Thank you !

  12. @xPorcelainLolitax I’m not Tara, but I’ve seen her replies in other videos stating that Yoga is the only formal exercise that she does. However, she says that she tries to incorporate healthy living into her daily activities – like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, eating well, etc.

I am personally only doing Yoga as well and I am in wonderful shape :) . It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done for my body :)

Yes, Tara, I would also really appreciate it if you could tell us if you do any other form of exercise, as well.
Your shape is a huge inspiration. :)
Is doing yoga and eating well enough to somehow reach this shape (if you aren’t overweight)? Or have you got any other tips?
Also, for how long should I do yoga daily to tone my body and lose some weight?? ^^
P.S.: Your videos are fantastic and, actually, fun to follow.

  14. precious! thanks once again xx

  15. And I’m hard.

  16. im not bendy enough for this

  17. Why are you going so fast? Yoga is about breathing and feeling the stretch, this would be great If you didn’t sound like an auctioneer.

  18. I read the article in the Times and have been doing your youtube videos. I got the book also, I finally feel like I can do yoga and not have to be a yogi and chant all the time, you have made it really accessible and fun. Can’t wait to do your class next time I am in NYC. Would love a basic video to go along with the book,.

  19. I read the article about you in the Times. You have given me new hope that I can really do yoga. It always felt so all or nothing and I’m not really looking for the chanting and stuff. I got your book, it is great, I would love a basic yoga video to go along with it. I have been doing the youtube videos every day, I am excited about yoga now. Thanks! Can’t wait to take your class next time I am in NYC.

  20. Tara, I have a question….
When im going to touch my toes it hurts very badly on my neck and back.. is this normal? Are there stretches to help this? Thanks :)

  22. @galabrotix
    ?

  23. Greetings! I watch your videos, learn the poses more or less, then mute the sound and play Slayer or Sepultura, or any heavy Metal. it feels GREAT! Thank you for not telling me to gaze upon the magnificence of earth or all that crap.

  24. Ahhhhh! Your body looks so strong and lean! Do you do any other form of exercise (besides yoga)? It also seems like you have a low body fat percentage, do you have any tips on reducing body fat?

  25. @666789443 Yeah I see plenty of guys taking yoga, my fiance´ was skeptical about it, but it’s helping his back pain and flexability a lot! (:
