Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga: Hands On

We go hands-on with the remarkable Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga. Convertible Ultrabook laptop doubles as a tablet. 360-degree flip-and-fold design, 13.3″ HD multi-touch display.
Like some of the others would have liked have a smaller screen. Also wished there was some kind of flap that could be pulled out from the back to coverup the keyboard to get a better look and more comfortable hold.
the creepy thing was i had the exact same idea the day before it was announced on CES
but i figured the keyboard hitting weird surfaces would prevent it
im so glad i was wrong
I hope they come out in a smaller size, like their Pocket Yoga concept from a couple years ago. Add in UltraNav, and it’s a damn near perfect convertible.
For 800 would bei nice

I prefer the form factor of the Asus Transformer mainly because it seems more durable. the rated 25,000 hinge cycles is just too low for me. the mode where the touchscreen is close to the user and the keyboard acts as the stand is great but is potentially damaging. This can be fixed by having the Asus transformer form factor simply on reverse

find a way to avoid the keyboard exposure, put android or ubuntu tablet os (when they will feel like doing one), improve the overall design and you have my money!

Now the IdeaPad Yoga though. Seriously awesome.

I love the idea and design. However, as a digital artist, I would really want to see a version that is Wacom Penabled. I would be sold in a heartbeat if it is.
@mrwaxwing123 Big apple fan and couldn’t go back to windows but I still really like this idea.
@Doctorwhorage Roughly 1200 USD. Quite expensive, but bear in mind it’s still cheaper than most macs! Hah.

Douches who say “Mac’s are so much better than PC’s… I’ll never go back.” I’d like to see your Macbook do THAT.

I agree with schism430 … It should be a 10-11 inch version and a little bit thiner if it’s possible and i will be an official buyer … Anyway good job .. i think this is the future
