Headstand tutorial with Blocks

As promised here a headstand supported with blocks for stability. There is no weight on your head in this version. This is a great way to build up your strength and to test your strength to make sure your foundation is strong enough to do headstand with the weight on the head , when ready!   4. I’ve been looking for a long time for a vid on how to practice for a headstand. All the vids that show how to do a headstand is pretty useless for beginners like me. So thanks for this, Esther. I’m going to try this.

  5. @12blin that happens to me too, especially with handstand…doing the feathered peacock (i think its called) pose first helps with the nerves though :)

  6. Wish there were props for practicing hand stands without walls … may be you can find a creative way for doing it.

  7. @12blin A lot of people would experience the same fear. Its great to do it anyway and feel the thrill of having done it, but I would recommend for someone to help you the first time. Being upside down is confusing, and you may feel you loose control. Take it easy and take your time.. enjoy the learning!

  8. I have tried this, well attempted, and I think that my problem is that I am petrified of being upside down. I wonder if this is normal and if others experience the same…

  11. Headstand has been my biggest challenge so far, and using the blocks is a great idea to try, I am going to try it today, when I get to the gym.
