  17. For those who are attached to this bodily machine, the yoga system is recommended. One who is overly attached to the bodily conception is taught to concentrate the mind by some physical gymnastics. Thus in haṭha-yoga one undergoes various physical disciplines, but the real purpose is to understand Viṣṇu, the Supreme. The various yoga systems are given for the machine of the body, but the process of bhakti is transcendental to mechanical arrangements.

  18. can anyone tell me why his left leg is crossed in front of his right? Is this something I should change? I was taught that by “yin yang” theory, men crossed their legs the opposite way most of the time. Is this a decision that I should make for myself?

  19. I am having the same problem really. My problem has to do with my knees not being flexible enough and not being able to bend far enough forward at the waist. There is very little muscle involved once your skeleton is aligned properly and flexibility is achieved.

All I can say is try to do it longer and longer every day. Use the time to figure out what parts of your body need to be worked on to sit more “comfortably” like that. Then work on them and try again the next day. Its slow going
